There will always be the consensus top players, or prospects who
seem to always be brought up, but who are the sleepers? A lot of
times, these types of players become the backbone of many teams.
Here, I name my top-five potential draft steals.
1. DT Omar Norman-Lott, Tennessee
The former Arizona State transfer came right into
Knoxville two seasons ago, and immediately made a name for
himself. Coming in at a stout 6’3” and 315 lbs, he has exceptional
strength and quickness to go along with his tenacity. He stuffs the
run with authority, while also being one of the better pass rushers for
his position. Whoever gets him will not be disappointed.

2. S Cam Silmon-Craig, Colorado
To put it simply, all this guy does is get to the ball and
make plays. While he may not be the biggest or the fastest, he
makes up for it with his outstanding IQ to diagnose plays, and
supreme toughness. He is also very versatile, as he can play
multiple positions in the backend such as nickel/star in addition to being a special teams demon. When he hits you, you will certainly
feel it. He reminds me a lot of the great Bob Sanders back in the
day.

3. RB Devin Neal, Kansas
As another undersized player, Devin Neal certainly doesn’t
play like one. He is one of the most consistent players in the entire
draft having recorded over 1,000 yards rushing in the last three
seasons, with the last two being at almost 1,300. He did it with pure
heart as well as his obvious ability. He has excellent vision, and
burst, to go along with his quickness. His toughness is also
unmatched, as well as being a true three down back. He delivers the pain instead of receiving it.
Devin Neal has ELITE elusiveness 👀
He’s put up 34 TDs and 2452 rushing yards in the last two seasons while forcing 126 missed tackles.
He excels in a balanced Kansas rushing attack thanks to his vision. Also has good ball security (2 fumbles, 421 carries).

4. TE Mason Taylor, LSU
As a Freshman-All American back in 2022, he was
arguably the best Freshman tight end in the country. He had Jalen
Daniels throwing him the rock, but that doesn’t take away from his
play. He has been consistent his entire career in both the run and
pass game. Standing tall at 6’5” 255 lbs, he has abnormal
athleticism to go along with his size. He seems to always be open
and he catches everything, having an average of 10 yards per catch. I
see him competing immediately for playing time, if not starting next
season.
Mason Taylor is an every-down tight end that can immediately impact an NFL team.
He is a big bodied pass catcher who wins at all three levels, at the catch point, and had just a 1.8% drop rate in 2024. He can also run and pass block inline.

5. WR Tez Johnson, Oregon
Tez Johnson may just be my favorite player in the draft.
Not only because of his play, but also because of his journey to get
where he has gotten. He has had nothing given to him, and I love that
out of players. It says a whole lot about a guy who can endure
adversity, and keep pushing. With that being said, his game is even
better. While maybe being the smallest player in the entire draft
weighing only 155 lbs, he makes up for it with an exceptional
skillset. His track speed and quickness to go along with his smooth
route running skills that set him apart from many, especially the
deep threats. He also returns punts with the best of them. He will be
a major steal in my eyes.
Tez Johnson = Human Joystick after the catch.
He’s built to win in today’s modern NFL style of play.
Yes he’s “undersized” but the kid can play ball, take all the discounts we will get due to it.pic.twitter.com/LPqQpg164d
