In today’s Fact or Fiction — NFL Draft edition — I look at three big recent topics around the NFL Draft and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. QB Will Levis will land in the top 10.
Farrell’s take: FACT
Levis showed off his big arm at his pro day as expected, and even though I think pro days for QBs are mostly a waste of time, it’s a QB-hungry league, and he will not only go top 10 but likely top 5. Arizona is looking to trade back, and Indianapolis will scare someone to jump ahead of them and take Levis, so I have him at No. 3 in a trade. And if somehow the Colts stay at No. 4 and pass on him, the Seahawks will likely take him at No. 5 to learn under Geno Smith.

2. CB Devon Whitherspoon lands with the Eagles.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
He’s my CB2 in this draft after Christian Gonzalez from Oregon, and with that, he won’t last past the eighth pick. The Lions may love one of these two guys, while Las Vegas or Atlanta might jump on one. Witherspoon, who lacks great size but is amazing in coverage and loves to hit, could be the first corner off the board, so there’s no way he falls to the Eagles at No. 10, even though I hear they like him. They’d have to trade up.

3. The Lions go TE with their second pick.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
I’ve seen some people saying Notre Dame TE Michael Mayer could be a target for the Lions at No. 18 with their second first round pick, but I don’t see it. Brock Wright, also from Notre Dame, showed some signs last season, and defense is a must for both first rounders to me. I see DL for the first pick unless they are in love with a corner and a cornerback with the second pick, someone like Joey Porter Jr. from Penn State, Emmanuel Forbes from Mississippi State, or Deonte Banks from Michigan.
