In today’s Fact or Fiction — NFL Draft edition — I look at three big recent topics around the NFL Draft and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. The Texans won round one.
Farrell’s take: FACT
I like the aggressive nature. CJ Stroud sliding was a joke as he’s shown nothing but potential and his game against Georgia last year makes him head and shoulders above Anthony Richardson and Will Levis and they still landed their top target in Will Anderson Jr. from Alabama. The Texans will still stink for a bit, but these could be two important picks.

2. The slide of Will Levis was warranted.
Farrell’s take: FACT
I never got the hype. And no offense to Mel Kiper Jr., but he started this garbage. At one point, Levis was No. 1 overall, and Kiper Jr. started the hype. I was enamored by his arm as well, but after watching him this season, I saw nothing but a mid-round pick who would bust out. So the talk of him going No. 2 to the Texans, No. 4 to the Colts, or No. 11 to the Titans was all a joke.

3. The Pats got a steal with Christian Gonzalez.
Farrell’s take: FACT
The Patriots traded back as usual and still landed a steal in Christian Gonzalez at No. 17. Gonzalez was my No. 1 CB and a top 10 value, and he’s a great fit with his length and work ethic for the Pats. This is one of the best value adds of round one.
