Fact or Fiction: ACC, Dante Moore, Florida Recruiting

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In today’s Fact or Fiction, I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

The ACC will survive

Farrell’s take: FACT

The TV deal, the Grant of Rights and some smart maneuvering (can you say throw yourselves at Notre Dame) will allow the ACC to remain one of four major conferences as the PAC 12 dies a slow death and most of those teams join the Big 12 and ACC. That’s my guess for the day anyhow. Notre Dame is the lynchpin for the ACC. The Irish have been flirting with them (well, using them kind of) for awhile now and somehow the ACC needs to get them to say yes.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

Dante Moore picks Oregon today

Farrell’s take: FACT

All signs point towards Moore choosing the Ducks over Michigan and I honestly feel that Jim Harbaugh’s want of the Minnesota Vikings job around Signing Day turned the tide. Offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham has done an amazing job with Moore and this will be a huge deal for new head coach Dan Lanning if it happens as Moore could end up as the top player in the country.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

Gators fans can settle down a bit now

Farrell’s take: FACT

The complaints about new coach Billy Napier and his recruiting just months into the job were a bit much for me. I mean c’mon, give the man a break and some time. He walked into a recruiting mess as Dan Mullen had things so backwards. Now with Treyaun Webb on board and the flip of QB Marcus Stokes from Penn State they can settle down a little bit. Webb is a potential difference maker while Stokes is a longer term project to me but this are solid wins for Napier.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
