[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In today’s Fact or Fiction, I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

This is just the start of elite recruiting for Miami

Farrell’s take: FACT

I’m telling you, Mario Cristobal with the Hurricanes is scary. QB Jaden Rashada is just the beginning. While Cristobal hasn’t turned the world upside down yet in this 2023 class, adding a five star QB will help and they now have a ton of momentum. And I think he’s just getting warmed up. 2024 might be a better class than 2023 and with Florida and FSU struggling in recruiting, he has a chance to clean up the next couple of years.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

Arch Manning assures Texas of a top five class

Farrell’s take: FICTION

The commitments have come in quickly since Manning committed with three OL, a LB and elite WR Jonah Wilson all jumping in the boat with Steve Sarkisian and staff. But let’s pump the brakes a little. OL Jaydon Chatman and Wilson are the only two truly elite recruits out of the five and Texas will push to finish top 10 but I can’t see a top five class despite the Manning name.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

Demarkcus Bowman will end up at USF with Jeff Scott

Farrell’s take: FICTION

While it seems a natural fit for the former five-star running back from Lakeland to hook up with Scott, who was at Clemson when he was being recruited, I don’t think it happens. USF is full at running back and another Florida team, UCF, loads up in the portal. So for a kid who left Clemson because he was homesick and is now leaving the Florida Gators, Orlando seems the spot to me.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
