In today’s Fact or Fiction — Recruiting Edition — I look at three big recent topics from the recruiting trail and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.

1. DE Tavion Gadson sticks with FSU.

Farrell’s take: FICTION

It seems like Kentucky has a lot of momentum here for the 3 star DE commit who is committed to Florida State. Tennessee is still in the mix as well and both will get official visits as he seems to want to extend to February and not sign early. That’s a sign that both sides have likely decided to move on and I like Kentucky here.

2. Cormani McClain is sticking with Miami.

Farrell’s take: FACT

The Alabama rumors were out there, but McClain is sticking with Miami it appears. Since his stunning announcement to choose the Canes over long time favorite Florida, he’s been firm and Miami has him back for NIL. I expect him in Coral Gables.

3. Ohio State has lost the edge for 5-star DE Damon Wilson.

Farrell’s take: FACT

Georgia is in the driver’s seat here and some might argue they led all along. But many thought his relationship with Larry Johnson and the Southeast rush ends he’s developed would win out. This isn’t over but after the Kirby Smart in home I’m hearing more and more about UGA.
