In this recruitment round-up edition, we will discuss some recruiting rumors surrounding a big fish still out there and evaluate a few of the recent blue-chip commitments. This is recruiting round-up!

Key Commitments

Four-Star OT Logan Reichert Commits to Missouri

Mizzou got a good one in the 6-foot 6-inch 350 pounds OT from Kansas City. Good athlete that also plays basketball. Moved all along the OL on his high school team. The guy will play tackle at the next level for sure. He has play strength like a guard but is a fluid mover who uses good hands that you would expect from a tackle.

Four-Star Edge Siale Esera Commits to BYU

6-foot 3-inch and 250-pound edge defender from right here in Provo, Utah. Big get for the Cougars as they anticipate their move to the Big 12 conference, where the top teams typically have big-time play-makers on edge. Esera can also play coverage which is welcome and somewhat of a hybrid role. He is a good athlete and plays quality contain as well; he is physical and isn’t afraid to hit people. Pretty good at pursuit angles and bringing down the ball carrier in space.

Rumors on Five-Star WR Jalen Hale

I have heard on good authority that Hale is trending strongly in Texas. I am confident and would go as far as to call it a lock from what I am hearing. The Five-Star pass catcher must have liked what he saw in the short time Quinn Ewers was on the field for the Longhorns because the rumors started going crazy shortly after the game, even though he had been trending to Texas for a while.

Rumors on Four-Star TE Malachi Coleman

Coleman is a Nebraska native and was considered a Nebraska lean for a while. The Sooners have been hanging around in this recruitment, and he has been liking and retweeting tons of OU stuff for weeks. You know there was interest already there, but with Scott Frost being fired, you would have to place Oklahoma at the top of his list right now, and that may have already been the case before still if Coleman doesn’t lock it up in December if Nebraska hires someone like Matt Campbell. The latter has a history of developing TEs. That may move the needle, but Oklahoma is the trend for now. He also is backing off his originally scheduled visit to USC this weekend.

Michigan impressed 2024 Five-Star QB Jadyn Davis

The Wolverines rolled out the red-carpet so to speak for the highly touted prospect on a visit this weekend, which included the game against Hawaii. From what I have heard he was truly impressed, and while he has a long way to go before making a decision I think Michigan is very much in this race. The Wolverines are in a bit of desperation mode after missing out on CJ Carr and Dante Moore. Can Harbough make a play here?
