He is reassembling part of the band, with Mike Lombardi as the GM, former Patriots linebacker and Super Bowl champion Jamie Collins as a defensive assistant, along with his sons Brian and Steve Belichick.
On Wednesday, it was announced that an offer was extended to LeGarrette Blount Jr., the son of former New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount Sr. Blount won two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, Super Bowl XLIX, and Super Bowl LI.

Bill Belichick’s approach highlights the importance of surrounding himself with familiar faces, including coaches, general managers, and players who share his vision and are invested in his system. By bringing in individuals who have a deep understanding of his methodology and culture, Belichick fosters a cohesive unit that can effectively execute his strategy.
Alternatively, one could also say that Bill Belichick’s success largely stems from his ability to assemble a team of like-minded individuals who are well-versed in his system. By recruiting coaches, general managers, and players who align with his football philosophy, Belichick creates a unified and focused team capable of thriving in his structured environment.
Blount Sr. was a college running back for the Oregon Ducks, recognized for his powerful running style and the controversial conclusion to his collegiate career due to an on-field incident during his senior year where he punched a Boise State defender after a loss.
