Even with the season underway, the recruiting trail never sleeps. Let’s take a look at some of the top names to come off the board recently in the 2025 class:
Tyler Lockhart
#125 NAT, #16 LB, #4 MS
Committed to Mississippi State on September 19
Landing a Top 125 player and the fourth-ranked player in the state of Mississippi is a massive win (arguably bigger than their lone win on the field) for coach Jeff Lebby and his staff. Tyler Lockhart chose the Bulldogs over the likes of Ole Miss and Tennessee after his recent decommitment from Auburn.

Byron Louis
#221 NAT, #17 RB, #35 FL
Committed to Florida State on September 21
Despite the early struggles on the field for coach Mike Norvell and the Noles, they made a big splash just before their weekend win against Cal by landing Byron Louis. Arguably the top remaining uncommitted running back in the cycle, the American Heritage product committed to Florida State over Miami and Georgia.
Tough game! Still more work to do…

Ladarian Clardy
#210 NAT, #17 S, #33 FL
Committed to Ole Miss on September 21
Fresh off a late August visit to Oxford, Ladarian Clardy committed to coach Lane Kiffin and the Rebels over Florida State and LSU. The 180-lb. playmaker at safety is currently Ole Miss’ top-rated recruit in what should end up being a Top 25 class.

Antonio Branch Jr.
#436 NAT, #40 S, #62 FL
Committed to Colorado on September 23
Looks like the late game drama and field storming was more than just securing a win for coach Deion Sanders and the Buffs. After a weekend visit to Boulder, Antonio Branch Jr. flipped his commitment from Penn State. It marked just the eighth commitment in the recruiting cycle for Colorado.
