Scouting Report

Very good frame and length with very good functional strength, good explosiveness, and adequate lateral quickness. Powerful initial punch to knock back the defender. Very good Gap blocks that can use his size and strength to generate drive in multiple types of blocks. Solid Zone blocker that can force defenders to angles needed using his strength. Solid pass protection ability, routinely knocks edge rushers off balance to disrupt their rushing lane. Very good anchor ability in pass protection and will rarely cause the pocket to collapse. Slow feet that prevent him from being effective in Zone runs or pull blocks. Not quick enough through his set points and is often reaching to connect with rushers along the edge. Has tunnel vision during pass protection and will lock on to one guy with no regard for oncoming blizters or twists/pulls from the DL. Projects well with his size and having a decent base to work with. Has his work cut out for him and will need to put plenty of time in to refine his pass pro abilities. Low floor, high ceiling type of player. Will need to go out and prove he is willing to put in the work to develop to his potential and could be a very good player just as easily as a 4-year backup.

Grade: 92/100
