Scouting Report
Good height and size with good athleticism displaying good explosion, foot quickness, speed, hand quickness, and solid balance and lateral movement. Very good in line blocking in Gap schemes, with very good initial quickness of the snap, coming off with low pads and good explosion in base, down, and double team blocks. Solid hand placement and latch on to a defender, often with wide hand placement that can cause him to fall off blocks. Solid ability to Pull block with adequate initial footwork causing him to have adequate angles on the pull to have a clear path with good ability to kick out a defender or lead block through the hole. Struggles to reach block EDGE defenders and will resort to driving them outside to create an inside cut for the ball carrier and has good ability to sustain blocks while on the move. Good leg drive and very good finish on his blocks when he does latch onto the defender, with good processing and vision of linebackers with ability to finish a base block or come off a double team to pick up the scrapping backer. Very good pass protection, with very good initial set point utilizing his good foot quickness to position himself with a half-man relationship to the pass rusher keeping his shoulder square to the line of scrimmage. Does wind up for his initial punch and has good quickness and strength in his punch. Shows the ability to counter pass rush moves with good balance and patience with the ability to refit his hands and reset his feet. Good processing to pass off linemen to pick up a linebacker blitz. Very good anchor, able to set his feet and drop his hips to prevent walk back into the QB. Overall, a very good prospect who could find playing time early in his college career.
