Scouting Report

Babalola has good size and athleticism at the OT position. With a very good initial hand punch and foot quickness, it allows him to meet edge rushers at the point of contact. His good arm length allows him to keep defenders from getting into his chest. Has solid foot technique as a pass blocker. Good agility and COD provide opportunity to get him out in space on screen passes. Uses good football I.Q and communication at LOS to pick up blitzes and stunts as a pass blocker. Very good combo blocker in the run game with the athleticism to get to the 2nd level. Due to his size, he will need to improve his adequate leverage and foot drive to generate more movement as a run blocker. With adequate balance and anchor ability, if the defender gets into his chest, then it is harder for him to recover. Needs to improve his marginal hand placement on initial contact as well as at the 2nd level. Babalola has the ability to step in as a starting OT at a P5 institution as soon as his 2nd year on campus. He should establish himself as a solid pass blocker as soon as he steps on campus.
