Scouting Report
Elite height and size. Good athlete for his size with very good balance, explosiveness, good foot quickness, and adequate foot speed. Very good explosion and drive-off the snap in Gap blocking with solid hand placement and very good sustain on the blocks to drive defenders out of the gap. Good fit in double teams with good processing of when to leave a double team and block the backer. Solid lateral movement to seal EDGE players in outside runs and reach blocks. Good angle processing to block blockers at the second level and good balance and ability to stay on his feet during a block with good finish, utilizing his very good strength to knock defenders off balance and to the ground. Good pass pro set points, with good foot quickness, staying square to the line of scrimmage, and solid hand placement and shows the ability to use his hands to counter pass rush moves. He will overcommit to blocks preventing himself from contributing downfield at the second and third level and has adequate foot speed to be effective in open space against the second and third-level defenders. Overall a good prospect who has the physical tools to start at a Power 5 school by year two in a more traditional gap scheme rather than a spread offense.
