Scouting Report

Very good height and size at 6’7″, 290 pounds. Solid AA with good play strength. Good gap blocker as he utilizes size and strength to engage and move defenders. Good first step off the line. Very good hand placement. Good leg drive after initial contact. Good ability to get to second level. Good zone blocker. His quick first step and solid lateral quickness enables him to win most zone reps at current level. Solid lateral quickness and footwork negatively effect pull blocking. Solid at pass pro. Solid at getting to set points. Lack of lateral quickness can leave him vulnerable to speed rushing defenders. Jones displayed athletic improvement throughout his junior season. He should continue to see improvement as he develops athletically. Jones projects as a high ceiling project.
