Scouting Report

Barker has a good frame, with good speed, vision, and contact balance. Adequate pad level, and change of direction. He is a physical back, bowling ball style runner who is tough to bring down. Adequte burst, not particularly explosive, but reachs the second level consistently. Needs to improve ball security. Adequate in the passing game, but doesn’t make a high impact. Technique isn’t quite there, but shows some aggressiveness in pass protection, could develop into a good blocker. Very good strength. Projects to be an impact player in a rotation at the Big Ten or SEC level, long-term a potential featured back at mid-tier P4 programs.
