Things are just heating up as we are seeing a lot of commitments come down for this cycle of the portal. And it’s evident a few teams are off to good starts. Here are my 10 hottest teams.
1. Michigan
— The Wolverines are adding key ingredients for another run at the Big Ten, especially with big men. LaDarius Henderson, Myles Hinton and Drake Nugent are a great trio of OL. And DE Josaiah Stewart has proven he’s one of the best in the country already. Oh, and LB Ernest Hausmann has great potential.
2. Florida State
— Jaheim Bell is a massive pickup for the Seminoles and pairs well with fellow TE Kyle Morlock whole DE Darrell Jackson is going to be a major help as well. And they are mentioned by so many portal recruits it’s kind of crazy.
3. USC
— WR Dorian Singer is one of the best players in this cycle and DL Kyon Barrs and others make the roster tougher.
4. Arizona State

— No one is more active in the portal than new coach Kenny Dillingham. QB Drew Pyne from Notre Dame headlines this group but there are many quality players here.
5. Oklahoma
— LB Dasan McCullough is my No. 1 commit in the portal so far and getting TE Austin Stogner back and reeling in DL Jacob Lacey from Notre Dame puts them in the top five.
6. TCU
— TCU has WR JoJo Earle and fellow WR Chris Marshall shouldn’t be far behind. And TE Jack Bech is a great get from LSU. So many others are also interested in Sonny Dykes program as they are off to a nice start.
7. UCLA
— Chip Kelly has one of his QBs in Kent State transfer Collin Schlee, while DE Jake Heimlicher and LB Oluwafemi Oladejo are great defensive additions.
8. Arizona
— LB Justin Flowe is the headliner but he’s joined by a few other key PAC 12 poaches.
9. Oregon
— Two Alabama additions in WR Traeshon Holden and DB Khyree Jackson are solid and I love LB Jestin Jacobs from Iowa.
10. Oklahoma State
— There aren’t a ton of big names here but this class gets better each time I evaluate it.
