With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Arkansas Razorbacks
The skinny: It has become somewhat of a portal revolving door for Arkansas during the last two cycles, which has caused some concern in Fayetteville. This off-season the Razorbacks watched key contributors like linebackers Chris Paul Jr and Jaheim Thomas, running back Raheim Sanders and quarterback KJ Jefferson depart, which again created holes in the roster. So how replacements like linebacker Xavier Sorey, quarterback Taylen Green and running back Ja’Quinden Jackson do this fall will determine Arkansas’ fate this season.

Final thoughts: Entering his fifth season at Arkansas, head coach Sam Pittman is firmly on the hot seat. Possessing a 23-25 record, which includes an 11-23 mark in the SEC, Pittman’s dive into the portal was once again aggressive. And while some nice pieces were added to the roster, his future very well may rest on the shoulders of Green, who will be expected to replace Jefferson, a player who leaves Fayetteville as the program’s all-time leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns, pass completions, total yards and total touchdowns. An impressive season from Green, and as a result the offense, could very well gain Pittman more time with the Razorbacks.
