With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Georgia Bulldogs
The skinny: Georgia has established itself as one of the few programs in the country that basically just reloads from season to season. There was more of that during this off-season, even though they did sustain a few losses, such as LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson and QB Brock Vandagriff, which left them a bit thin at their respective positions. Even with those losses, head coach Kirby Smart once again excelled with adding some exciting talent that should help position Georgia towards another National Championship run.

Key losses: LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson (Kentucky), DE Marvin Jones Jr. (Florida State), QB Brock Vandagriff (Kentucky), WR Mekhi Mews (Houston), DB AJ Harris (Penn State)
Key additions: RB Trevor Etienne (Florida), WR Colbie Young (Miami-Florida), DB Jake Pope (Alabama), DL Xzavier McLeod (South Carolina)
Final thoughts: During their recent impressive run, the Bulldogs have become more known for their powerful defense than their offense. That has a chance to change this fall, and not because their defense should be any less dominant, but because of portal additions like RB Trevor Etienne and WR Colbie Young. Etienne joins an already deep and talented backfield to add another established big-play threat, while Young is a strong, powerful receiver who adds a new dimension to Georgia’s offense. The Bulldogs also took the opportunity to fine tune their defense through the portal by adding players like Xzavier McLeod, who proved this spring that he will be an important rotational player on an already strong defensive line.
