With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Maryland Terrapins
The skinny: Maryland and head coach Mike Locksley have pieced together a very respectable 23-16 record over their last three seasons in the difficult Big Ten East Division. However, now they must prepare for the post-Taulia Tagovailoa era, as their quarterback during this stretch is starting his professional career. The Terps targeted a replacement during this cycle and made the offensive line a priority in hopes of making a run for their fourth consecutive winning season.

Key losses: LB Jaishawn Barham (Michigan), TE Rico Walker (Auburn), TE Corey Dyches (Cal)
Key additions: QB MJ Morris (NC State), DB Jalen Huskey (Bowling Green), OL Aliou Bah (Georgia), OL Isaiah Wright (Buffalo), OL Alan Herron (D2 Shorter), OL Josh Kaltenberger (Purdue)
Final thoughts: It was a relatively quiet portal cycle for the Terps, who were the only P4 school in the country to not have a scholarship player enter the portal during the spring window. Losing LB Jaishawn Barham, an NFL caliber player, during the winter was a blow, but the overall departures shouldn’t be a setback. They hope to have found their quarterback of the future with MJ Morris, who is in an interesting battle for the starting job this off-season, added one of the top defensive players from the MAC, DB Jalen Huskey, and reloaded their offensive line with Aliou Bah, Isaiah Wright, Alan Herron and Josh Kaltenberger. Coach Locksley has established a solid foundation in College Park, but will that be enough to offset the departure of Tagovailoa? Eyes will be watching.
