With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Michigan Wolverines
The skinny: Coming off a National Championship, the Wolverines’ roster is still loaded with depth and talent. However, even for Michigan, some concerns arose during the offseason which required the assistance of the transfer portal. The biggest concern arose in the secondary, which suddenly experienced depth issues after the transfers of Keon Sabb and DJ Waller Jr., and the season ending injury to starter Rod Moore in March. So how would new head coach Sherrone Moore respond?

Key losses: DB Keon Sabb (Alabama), DB DJ Waller Jr. (Kentucky), LB Jeremiah Beasley (Missouri), OL Amir Herring (Kansas)
Key additions: LB Jaishawn Barham (Maryland), OL Josh Priebe (Northwestern), DB Jaden Mangham (Michigan State), DB Aamir Hall (Albany), DB Wesley Walker (Louisville)
Final thoughts: There is plenty of belief in Ann Arbor that Coach Moore will successfully continue the recent winning ways that Coach Jim Harbaugh established. With that said, all eyes will be on Coach Moore to see how he runs the program as the man-in-charge. In control of the transfer portal for the first time this spring, he answered the need for defensive backs by adding several. While the pecking order will be determined during summer camp, look for Jaden Mangham, Aamir Hall and Wesley Walker to all be important contributors in 2024. However, the two most important additions of this cycle came back during the winter when the Wolverines added a starting linebacker with All-American potential, Jaishawn Barham, and a starting guard, Josh Priebe, who was a team captain at Northwestern. During recent cycles the Wolverines successfully plugged a few holes using the portal and once again seem to have accomplished that.
