With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Missouri Tigers
The skinny: Coming off an 11-2 season, which ended with a Cotton Bowl victory over Ohio State, expectations at Missouri are at their highest level in a decade. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz has double-downed on these expectations during the offseason by having one of the more exciting portal seasons in the country. The Tigers added numerous players who will be starters in 2024 while also adding experience at depth throughout the roster. On top of that, they didn’t experience any portal losses that left any significant voids.

Key losses: DL Serigne Tounkara (Cal)
Key additions: OL Marcus Bryant (SMU), RB Marcus Carroll (Georgia State), LB Khalil Jacobs (South Alabama), LB Jeremiah Beasley (Michigan), DL Zion Young (Michigan State), LB Corey Flagg Jr. (Miami-Florida), DL Chris McClellan (Florida), OL Cayden Green (Oklahoma), DB Toriano Pride (Clemson), RB Nate Neal (Appalachian State)
Final thoughts: Missouri added impact players on both sides of the ball. On offense the Tigers knew that they needed to try and find a replacement for star running back Cody Schrader. They answered the call by adding both Marcus Carroll and Nate Noel. It is likely that two will split carries at the beginning of the season, but don’t be surprised if one eventually develops as the lead back. The line also received a boost with the additions of Marcus Bryant and Cayden Green, who should both be opening day starters. On defense, Toriano Pride’s return to his home state gives the Tigers a starter at cornerback, while the linebacking group was bolstered with the arrival of Corey Flagg Jr., Jeremiah Beasley, and the late signing of Khalil Jacobs. By the end of the season, this Tigers’ group of incoming transfers may be considered one of the elite in the country.
