With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Washington Huskies

The skinny: Washington is a prime example as how quickly everything can change in a program. Soon after completing a memorable season that culminated in an appearance in the National Championship game, the Huskies saw their head coach take the Alabama job and then a multitude of starters either head to the NFL or the transfer portal. New head coach Jedd Fisch has been extremely busy since his arrival, and thanks to the transfer portal has successfully reloaded the Washington roster.

Key losses: DB Mishael Powell (Miami-Florida), DB Jabbar Muhammad (Oregon), DB Asa Turner (Florida), OL Nate Kalepo (Ole Miss), OL Parker Brailsford (Alabama), WR Germie Bernard (Alabama), OL Geirean Hatchett (Oklahoma), QB Austin Mack (Alabama), QB Dermaricus Davis (UCLA)

Key additions: QB Will Rogers (Mississippi State), WR Jeremiah Hunter (Cal), OL Drew Azzopardi (San Diego State), RB Jonah Coleman (Arizona), DL Isaiah Ward (Arizona), DL Russell Davis (Arizona), DB Ephesians Prysock (Arizona), DL Sebastian Valdez (Montana State), OL Enokk Vimahi (Ohio State), OL D’Angelo Titialii (Portland State), DB Cameron Broussard (Sacramento State)

Final thoughts: The first step for Washington was finding a new quarterback. Will Rogers arrives as an SEC veteran who won’t be as dynamic as Michael Penix but should be very efficient. Look for Jonah Coleman, who was one of several Arizona players to follow Coach Fisch to Seattle, to lead the running attack, while Jeremiah Hunter was a vital addition to try and help replace the staggering amount of wide receiver talent that the Huskies lost. The offensive line also needed an overhaul, with Drew Azzopardi, D’Angelo Titialii and Enokk Vimahi all in line to play important roles. Defensively, the secondary added a future star, Ephesians Prysock, and a hard-hitting safety, Cameron Broussard, while the defensive line brought Russell Davis and Isaiah Ward, both from Arizona, and Sebastian Valdez on the inside, who has impressed since his arrival. Coach Fisch did a fantastic job reloading the roster, but with this many changes it will be impossible to know how the team comes together until a few games into the season.
