5 Hottest Teams in the Transfer Portal

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]There are a lot of programs that are adding guys and improving their teams, but no one is hotter than these five teams in the transfer portal right now.

Nebraska

The skinny: The Cornhuskers have continued their hot streak through the month of May. They followed up on the additions of defensive linemen Ochaun Mathis (TCU) and Devin Drew (Texas Tech) by adding more beef to the line with Alabama transfer defensive tackle Stephon Wynn. Joining Wynn in Lincoln will be his fellow Tide transfer Kaine Williams, which will give the Huskers some much-needed experience in the secondary. Finally, Nebraska also added some depth to the receiving corps by adding promising Texas transfer Marcus Washington from the transfer portal.

Louisville

The skinny: While the Cardinals only added one piece recently, it was a big portal recruiting victory. Arizona State transfer defensive lineman Jermayne Lole had trimmed list of top schools down to the Cardinals and Florida, with the Gators being very close to grabbing his commitment. However, the Louisville coaching staff worked overtime to change the outcome. Lole becomes a part of what is becoming a quietly impressive group of transfer portal additions.

Auburn

The skinny: The Tigers have had their fair share of transfer portal losses in this cycle but picked up two nice recent additions with Miami wide receiver Dazalin Worsham and Memphis defensive lineman Morris Joseph. While Worsham did not make a big impact with the Canes, he provides depth at a position of need and impressed during his spring practice performance in Coral Gables. Joseph, who initially committed to Georgia Tech, joins a talented group of defensive lineman but will added depth an experience at the position.

Oklahoma

The skinny: After a quick start in the portal, the Sooners had been relatively quiet in recent months. That changed with the additions of the wide receiver duo of LV Bunkley-Shelton from Arizona State and JJ Hester from Missouri. Having lost Mario Williams, Jadon Haselwood and most recently Cody Jackson in the portal, the Sooners needed to add some depth and definitely accomplished that with the recent additions. Look for both Bunkley-Shelton and Hester to make immediate impacts in Norman.

USC

The skinny: USC continued their hectic and successful portal recruiting season with the addition of wide receiver Jordan Addison, one of the top overall players to become available during the entire cycle. The Pittsburgh transfer was immediately rumored to be heading to Los Angeles, so while his commitment to the Trojans was not a huge surprise, the coaching staff did have to hold off a strong push from Texas. USC also added depth to their interior defensive line with the addition of San Jose State transfer Sinjun Astani.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
