The biggest portal classes for this cycle…
1. Colorado
— Live by the portal, die by the portal. Deion Sanders once again has the biggest transfer class. With 39 this cycle it’s less egregious than his first cycle but it’s still miles ahead of most programs. There is talent in here for sure but there will also be a bit of a positional overhaul at some positions, mainly OL.

2. Louisville
— It’s a bit surprising to see Jeff Brohm at 31 transfers but the thinking in his second season is there would be some overhaul. Brohm is no nonsense and some guys who came in were out in a few months. A smaller number will be needed down the line for continuity and culture.

3. Indiana
— “Google me” Curt Cignetti does what he wants when he wants and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. As a new coach, he’s bringing in 29 from the portal and purging a few from his roster as Indiana needs a new feel. Is it a bit aggressive? Likely so.

4. Arizona State
— Kenny Dillingham inherited a mess with a depleted roster and NCAA issues so the second year in a row he has big portal numbers. His issue more than anyone else on this list is the losses in the portal have forced him to be aggressive. 29 commits after 31 in year one is too high and he knows it.

5. Washington
— Washington has a new coach but he’s familiar with the program coming from Arizona and the old PAC 12. Jedd Fisch has 28 portal commits for two reasons. Washington lost a ton in the portal as many players followed Kalen DeBoer to Alabama and Fisch is bringing in some of his old players from the Wildcats. In fact he has double digits players coming in from Arizona.
