Most of the players who have recently entered the portal are grad transfers, as allowed by the rules, but due to Stanford’s decision to recently fire head coach Troy Taylor, it opened the door to all Cardinal players. True freshman wide receiver Emmett Mosley V took advantage of this by entering the portal yesterday.
Stanford WR Emmett Mosley V has entered the transfer portal, ESPN has learned.

While it was a disappointing season overall for the Cardinal, Mosley was an important bright spot. He finished his true freshman season with 48 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns. As mentioned by Max Olson of ESPN, his reception total led all freshman players in the ACC.
All of Mosley’s talents were on display against ranked Louisville, when he finished with 13 receptions for 168 yards and three touchdowns.

Mosley was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2024. He played his high school football at Santa Margarita High School in California and committed to the Cardinal over offers from UCLA, USC, Washington, Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Penn State and others.
Two schools to keep a close eye on are Notre Dame and USC. Mosley’s father, Emmett Mosley, played football with the Irish, while his mother, Cindy Mosley, played soccer in South Bend. Also, his younger brother, Trent Mosley, recently committed to the Trojans as a Class of 2026 recruit.
Considering his parents’ ties to Notre Dame didn’t help the Irish the first time, USC may have the early advantage with the opportunity to play with his brother for at least one season.
While these are advantages for the Irish and Trojans, the competition will be fierce for Mosley, who will have an extremely long list of suitors.
