My top five impact transfer QBs before the second transfer portal window opens.

1. Brock Vandagriff, Kentucky (from Georgia)

— With limited playing time during his time in Athens, the Wildcats will be hoping that his potential is enough to open some eyes next season. He has an elite WR group to work with and all the talent in the world.

Georgia quarterback Brock Vandagriff (12) moves the ball down the field during the G-Day spring football game in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

2. Cam Ward, Miami (from Washington State)

— The Washington State star could be the answer for the Canes at QB. The only concern? Mario Cristobal hasn’t had the best track record with quarterbacks, and many feel that he held back Justin Herbert while at Oregon.

Nov 25, 2023; Seattle, Washington, USA; Washington State Cougars quarterback Cameron Ward (1) passes against the Washington Huskies during the second quarter at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.

3. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon (from Oklahoma)

— He brings a ton of experience with him and he was stellar at OU last season. He’s a great replacement for Bo Nix.

Oklahoma's Dillon Gabriel (8) looks to throw a pass in the second half during a Bedlam college football game between the Oklahoma State University Cowboys (OSU) and the University of Oklahoma Sooners (OU) at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla., Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023.

4. Aidan Chiles, Michigan State (from Oregon State)

— An elite athlete who knows the system coming with Jonathan Smith to MSU.

Nov 11, 2023; Corvallis, Oregon, USA; Oregon State Beavers quarterback Aidan Chiles (0) throws the ball during the first half against the Stanford Cardinal at Reser Stadium

5. DeQuan Finn, Baylor (from Toledo)

— He was amazing with the Rockets but many don’t know about him. They will learn fast.

Dec 2, 2023; Detroit, MI, USA; Toledo Rockets quarterback Dequan Finn (7) throws a pass against the Miami (OH) Redhawks in the first quarter at Ford Field.

Honorable mentions: Riley Leonard, Notre Dame (from Duke); Kyle McCord, Syracuse (from Ohio State); Will Howard, Ohio State (from Kansas State); Julian Sayin, Ohio State (from Alabama); DJ Uiagalelei, Florida State (from Oregon State); Maalik Murphy, Duke (from Texas).
