Former FSU RB Corey Wren Chooses TCU

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image="909" img_size="large"][vc_column_text]TCU has landed Florida State running back transfer Corey Wren, an important decision at a position where they lost elite back Zach Evans.

Wren is a former 3-star prospect out of high school, holding offers from 34 different schools. Those schools included Florida State, Arizona State, TCU, Nebraska, and Ole Miss. Wren is a bit undersized at 5-foot-10 and 187 pounds but he makes up for It with blazing speed. Wren doesn’t just have football speed but he is a serious athlete on the track and ran a 10.4 100 meters in high school.

As a Seminole Wren appeared in 12 games mostly on special teams as a returner. He did struggle with some injury issues but none that should be affecting him during his time at TCU. Horned Frogs fans will be getting an electric returner with speed to outrun anyone on the field. If he’s in the backfield he will be best used on outside runs due to his lack of size and physicality as a runner.

Overall we have Wren as a 3-star transfer and a contributor as a return man and perhaps in the passing game and on sweeps but I wouldn’t expect overwhelming production.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
