1. The best OL portal grab is now headed to Mizzou.

Farrell’s take: FACT

With Kadyn Proctor allegedly headed back to Alabama, that makes Cayden Green the best portal grab so far. The Oklahoma transfer started five games as a freshman and will plug in as a starter, and an elite one, for a Mizzou team that will be nasty on offense next season.

Oct 7, 2023; Dallas, Texas, USA; Oklahoma Sooners offensive lineman Cayden Green (70) blocks Texas Longhorns defensive lineman Byron Murphy II (90) as Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel (8) runs the ball in the fourth quarter at the Cotton Bowl. This game makes up the 119th rivalry match up.

2. The team that improved themselves on defense the most is Ole Miss.

Farrell’s take: FICTION

Ole Miss added Walter Nolen and some others and should be much improved on defense, but give me Texas A&M despite losing Nolen. DE Nic Scourton, CB Will Lee III, CB Dezz Ricks, and others should flourish under new head coach Mike Elko who is a great defensive mind. If A&M makes a surprise run in the SEC next season, it will be defensively led.

Purdue Boilermakers linebacker Nic Scourton (5) tackles Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Tanner Mordecai (8) during the NCAA football game, Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind. Wisconsin Badgers won 38-17.

3. Colorado improved their OL the most.

Farrell’s take: FACT

The Colorado OL last year was horrible, so anything is an upgrade, and the low level they played at impacts this. They are adding some key players led by Tyler Johnson from Houston and Justin Mayers from UTEP. It won’t be easy, as they will all need to gel, but this is a big upgrade.

UTEP's Justin Mayers (66) at the UTEP Spring Football Showcase on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.
