[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]The Virginia Cavaliers have landed a transfer commitment from former 4-star running back Cody Brown. Brown was a 4-star running back out of Lilburn, Georgia and he was the 13th best running back in his class coming out of high school, so the talent is obviously there.

He held offers from schools such as Miami, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Georgia Tech. Brown originally committed to Tennessee before switching to Miami. After a true freshman season where he saw only 34 Carries he elected to transfer. Brown did average 4.1 yards per carry as a freshman. With three years of eligibility remaining and he should see time in short-yardage situations at the very least at Virginia.

He is a solid power back with adequate speed who excels in gaining a yard or two against a stacked box. At 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds, he is a bowling ball when It comes to rushes up the middle. Brown has the ability to develop his pass-catching and vision to truly become a well-rounded back.

I would rate this as 3-star transfer for an impact rating for Virginia. Brown will contribute but if Virginia continues to be a pass-heavy offense I don’t think he will be the best fit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
