This article covers my picks for the current SEC All-Transfer team of players who have transferred to an SEC school this off-season.

OFFENSE

Quarterback - Devin Leary - Kentucky

Devin Leary was widely considered as not only one of the best quarterbacks in the portal but one of the best players period. The North Carolina State transfer has thrown for over 6800 yards and 62 touchdowns in his four-year career with the Wolfpack. He'll be a key piece in the Wildcats' offense in 2023 and is a great centerpiece of a pretty impressive transfer class.

Runningback - Ray Davis - Kentucky

Kentucky received another great offensive weapon in former Vanderbilt runningback Ray Davis. Davis ran for over 1000 yards in 2022 against SEC competition. He hasn't been talked about much nationally, but the former Commodore is still a very good back that I expect to be utilized pretty heavily in 2023, especially with the departure of Chris Rodriguez.

Runningback - Brian Battie - Auburn

Brian Battie was one of the best Group-of-Five backs this season for USF. He rushed for over 1,100 yards in 2022 for the Bulls, and will likely take on a big role for the Tigers in 2023 with Tank Bigsby leaving for the NFL Draft. It will be interesting to see if he can beat out Jarquez Hunter for the leading role this upcoming season.

Wide Receiver - Tre Harris - Ole Miss

Tre Harris was, in my opinion, one of the top receiver prospects in the portal this cycle. The former Louisiana Tech Bulldog tallied 935 yards and 10 touchdowns on 65 catches last season, and I don't expect him to slow down this year. I believe Harris will be WR1 for the Rebels in September. Whoever ends up winning the quarterback duel in Oxford will have an elite target to throw to.

Wide Receiver - Dominic Lovett - Georgia

Although Georgia wasn't extremely active in the transfer portal, the guys that they did land are all instant-impact types of players. The biggest name they were able to land is former Missouri receiver, Dominic Lovett. Lovett was one of the best receivers in the SEC last season, and was a huge part of Missouri's success, hauling in 56 catches for 846 yards and three touchdowns. We don't know who will be throwing to him this fall, but regardless, Lovett will make a massive impact for the Dawgs this season.

Wide Receiver - Theo Wease - Missouri

One of the quieter SEC portal additions is none other than former Oklahoma wideout Theo Wease. The former five-star has had a career full of ups and downs. He had a decent sophomore campaign in 2020, and it looked like he was about to have a breakout year in 2021, but he received a season-ending leg injury. I think he has the potential to be a very good player for Mizzou, but it's a bit up in the air.

Tight End - Trey Knox - South Carolina

With the departure of both Jaheim Bell and Austin Stogner to Florida State and Oklahoma respectively, the Gamecocks desperately needed a tight end. They filled that hole quite well through the portal with Trey Knox. As a fifth-year senior, Knox brings a lot of experience to South Carolina's tight end room. He's a great blocker, as well as a red zone threat. He'll be a big help for Senior quarterback Spencer Rattler this season in Columbia

Offensive Line - Avery Jones - Auburn

Avery Jones was rated as a four-star prospect, and the #13 overall guard coming out of high school in 2018. He has been very good for North Carolina and ECU over his five-year career and brings a ton of talent and experience to Auburn. I expect him to be one of the starting five up front for the Tigers in 2023.

Offensive Line - Gunner Britton - Auburn

Gunner Britton is yet another big pickup for Auburn on the offensive line. The 6-6, 275-pounder had a pass block grade of 83.9, putting him at #24 in the country when compared to other tackles. The Western Kentucky transfer only has one year of eligibility left. I expect him to start and be a leader along the offensive line for Auburn in 2023.

Offensive Line - Micah Mazzccua - Florida

Micah Mazzccua brings a ton of physicality and nastiness to the Gators. He played 898 snaps through two years at Baylor, and only allowed one sack. He is exactly what Florida needed to break in a new quarterback in 2023, whether it be Graham Mertz or Jack Miller III. Very underrated pickup for the Gators.

Offensive Line - Dillon Wade - Auburn

Another big pickup for Auburn along the offensive line is former Tulsa OT Dillon Wade. Wade was an anchor for the Golden Hurricane in 2022, playing a total of 818 snaps. He took a massive leap from 2021 to 2022, and many suspect that there is plenty of room for even more. Very good pickup for Auburn.

Offensive Line - Kiyaunta Goodwin - Florida

Although he doesn't have much collegiate experience, Kiyaunta Goodwin was one of the best pickups along the offensive line in the SEC. He has a massive frame at 6-8, 351 pounds. The Kentucky transfer will be a sophomore in 2023, giving the Gators plenty of time to mold him into an excellent player.

DEFENSE

EDGE - Trajan Jeffcoat - Arkansas

The former Missouri Tiger has decided to take his talents to Auburn. Jeffcoat has tallied 11.5 sacks throughout his career, six of those coming in his 2020 campaign. He has plenty of natural talent and experience but needs a bit of development over the off-season to truly take the next step. Still, he is an excellent player, and I think that he will have a big impact as a starter for the Razorbacks this fall.

EDGE - Ovie Oghoufo - LSU

LSU had the highest-rated transfer class in the SEC, and it isn't hard to see why. They hauled in several top-end players, especially on the defensive side of the ball. One of those players is Texas transfer Ovie Oghoufo. He played under Brian Kelly at Notre Dame for three years before transferring to Texas in 2022, where he tallied 53 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Seeing that he's already familiar with Brian Kelly's scheme, I believe Oghoufo will be utilized pretty heavily for the Tigers in 2023.

Defensive Tackle - Cam'Ron Jackson - Florida

Cam'Ron Jackson was one of the biggest names in the portal along the defensive front this off-season. The former Memphis Tiger posted 41 tackles and a sack in 2022. With Florida losing multiple defensive linemen to both the NFL Draft, as well as the transfer portal, Jackson will in all likelihood be a starter this upcoming season. He's extremely disruptive in the run game, and will likely be a key piece to the Gators' defensive front.

Defensive Tackle - Jordan Jefferson - LSU

Jordan Jefferson is a massive addition to what is already a pretty stacked defensive line room. He racked up 31 tackles and three sacks for West Virginia in 2022. The big defensive tackle will have a chance to start for LSU this fall, and I think he'll be a big part (literally) of LSU's defense this fall.

Linebacker - Monty Montgomery - Ole Miss

Ole Miss needed some defensive help in the portal, and they got exactly that in Monty Montgomery. The Louisville transfer has four years of collegiate experience under his belt. The super-senior had 70 tackles, six sacks, four forced fumbles, and two interceptions for the Cardinals in 2022. He's truly a do-it-all type of player and is one of the most versatile players in the portal. Very good, underrated pickup for the Rebs.

Linebacker - Omar Speights - LSU

Another linebacker in the portal with a ton of experience is Oregon State transfer, Omar Speights. He will be playing his fifth season in Baton Rouge for LSU. Speights has 304 career tackles, as well as 25 TFLs. He brings a ton of game experience to LSU, and I firmly believe that he will be a starter come this season.

Linebacker - Antonio Grier - Arkansas

Once again, we have a linebacker with a massive amount of experience in USF transfer Antonio Grier. He has five seasons under his belt at the G5 level, where he tallied 234 tackles and 22.5 TFLs. He only played three games in 2022 because of a hand injury, but don't let that fool you. He's an excellent pickup for Arkansas. I expect him to be a major player for the Razorbacks this year.

Cornerback - Duce Chestnut - LSU

Duce Chestnut was one of the best cornerbacks in all of college football last season for Syracuse. He was a big contributor to Syracuse's number 14 pass defense in 2022, as quarterbacks rarely threw his way. He can play as both a boundary corner, as well as a nickelback. One way or another, he'll be a big contributor in the secondary for the Tigers this fall.

Cornerback - Denver Harris - LSU

Denver Harris, one of the biggest pieces in Texas A&M's historic 2022 class, is another massive addition to LSU's secondary. The former five-star had 14 tackles and three deflections in his freshman campaign for the Aggies. He doesn't have much experience, but he has limitless potential. We'll see how well he develops at LSU under Brian Kelly and co.

Safety - Al Walcott - Arkansas

Al Walcott was one of the most reliable pieces on Baylor's defense last year. He racked up 82 tackles, two sacks, as well as three forced fumbles for the Bears in 2022. He has three years of Power Five football under his belt, and he'll be looking to take the next step at Arkansas. This is a huge pickup for the Razorbacks, who allowed the most passing yards per game in all of FBS football last season.

Safety - Tre'Vez Johnson - Missouri

The former Florida Gator decided to transfer to Missouri this off-season after posting 26 tackles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception in 2022. Missouri's defense was pretty good last season, ranking 34th in total defense. Johnson adds some experience in the safety room, although some project him to play as a safety/linebacker hybrid in 2023.

Athlete - Ja'Kobi Albert - Mississippi State

Last but not least, we have a Kentucky transfer, Ja'Kobi Albert. Although he is still very young, the two-way player has tons of athleticism. He will likely be playing defensive back for Mississippi State in 2023, as that was his role at Kentucky. He was rated as a four-star prospect in the 2022 class (#20 ATH). We'll see if he can carver out a role early with the Bulldogs this fall.
