1. QB Shedeur Sanders – Colorado (Jackson State)

The skinny: Through all the hoopla, fireworks and chaos in Boulder, Sanders has pieced together an extremely impressive FBS season while having to deal with a below par offensive line. Having passed for 2,420 yards, 21 touchdowns and only three interceptions look for more video game numbers from Sanders as the Buffaloes will likely have to rely on their passing attack to keep them in games against UCLA, Utah, Oregon State and Washington State in the coming weeks.

2. WR Keon Coleman – Florida State (Michigan State)

The skinny: Coleman was brought to Tallahassee to make the Seminoles' offense even more potent, which is what he has accomplished through the first seven games. He has already totaled seven touchdowns, while grabbing 31 receptions for 472 yards. He has also been able to showcase his athleticism as a punt returner for the first time in his collegiate career. With his size and athleticism, Coleman is a matchup nightmare for secondaries.

3. RB Ray Davis – Kentucky (Vanderbilt)

The skinny: Most of the portal attention around Lexington during the off-season went to quarterback Devin Leary, but it has been Davis who has carried the team. Coming off his first 1,000+ yard season at Vanderbilt, he has taken his game to the next level with the Wildcats. Already having rushed for 781 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 7.0 yards per carry, he has been equally potent as a receiver with 15 receptions for 193 yards and five more touchdowns. He also had one of the memorable performances of the season when he rushed for 280 yards and three touchdowns against Florida.

4. ATH Travis Hunter – Colorado (Jackson State)

The skinny: If it wasn’t for missing three games with an injury, it is likely that Hunter would be even higher on this list. However, what he has accomplished in his four games on the field, as a two-way player, has been quite remarkable. Offensively he has totaled 29 receptions for 353 yards and two touchdowns, while on defense he has 14 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups. Look for more explosive highlights from Hunter throughout the remainder of the season.

5. QB Sam Hartman – Notre Dame (Wake Forest)

The skinny: While visions of a National Championship run by the Irish have dissolved after two losses in their last four games, Hartman has still been impressive. Having passed for 1,838 yards, 18 touchdowns and only three interceptions, which all took place in the loss at Louisville, Hartman will finish his collegiate career with more than 15,000 yards passing.

6. OL Drake Nugent – Michigan (Stanford)

The skinny: The Wolverines were in an unfamiliar situation regarding their offensive line following the 2022 season and knew that the portal would be the most logical answer. Looking to plug a couple of holes, Nugent became one of their biggest additions, and he also became one of their biggest answers during this undefeated season. An experienced, hard-nosed veteran, he has become as important as any player on the offense this fall.

7. QB Thomas Castellanos – Boston College (UCF)

The skinny: After a rough start to his BC career, which resulted in a loss at home to Northern Illinois, Castellanos has become one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country over the last six games. Having won four of six since the opener, he has passed for 1,398 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions, while also rushing for 628 yards and nine touchdowns. He is currently seventh in the ACC in passing yards and third in rushing yards, which has helped get the Eagles back into the bowl hunt.

8. WR Malik Washington – Virginia (Northwestern)

The skinny: Not much has gone right for Virginia this season, but the excellent play of Washington has been a beacon of hope throughout. He is enjoying a career season in Charlottesville with 56 receptions for 783 yards and six touchdowns, which is more touchdowns than he totaled in his four seasons at Northwestern. He has also accomplished this while Virginia’s two quarterbacks (transfer Tony Muskett and true freshman Anthony Colandrea) have combined for 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

9. QB DJ Uiagalelei – Oregon State (Clemson)

The skinny: Uiagalelei needed a change of scenery, which he found almost 2,800 miles away in Corvallis. For the Beavers, he is exactly what they were looking for as he has managed the offense like the veteran he is while passing for 1,573 yards, 15 touchdowns and only four interceptions. The 6-1 Beavers and Uiagalelei have an opportunity to make a statement at the end of the regular season with their closing games coming against Washington and Oregon.

10. WR Jamari Thrash – Louisville (Georgia State)

The skinny: Considering the success that head coach Jeff Brohm’s wide receivers enjoyed in recent seasons at Purdue, it should come as no surprise that Thrash is doing the same at Louisville. Rondale Moore, David Bell and Charlie Jones all shined with the Boilermakers, so when Brohm took the job with the Cardinals, the same production followed him. This has resulted in Thrash grabbing 39 receptions for 639 yards and six touchdowns at Louisville. Expect more explosive plays from Thrash this season.
