WR Ali Jennings – Virginia Tech (Old Dominion)
The skinny: After a disappointing first season in Blacksburg, head coach Brent Pry took a more aggressive approach in the transfer portal. One of the more important additions was Jennings, who should immediately provide a much needed boost to the offense. Arriving at Virginia Tech after totaling 116 receptions for 2,025 yards and 14 touchdowns during the last two seasons, Jennings has the talents to become one of the top receivers in the ACC as long as the Hokies can settle on a consistent quarterback.

OL Kyle Hergel – Boston College (Texas State)
The skinny: Boston College regularly has one of the top offensive lines in the country, so the disappointing performance by the unit in 2022 came as a surprise to many. To help remedy these issues, the Eagles added Hergel, who earned Third-Team All-Sun Belt honors after the 2022 season. Having begun his collegiate career at North Dakota before making a move to Texas State, Hergel also brings 41 starts to Boston College, which is the experience the unit was missing last season.
WR Jamari Thrash – Louisville (Georgia State)
The skinny: With new head coach Jeff Brohm taking over at Louisville, there has been plenty of change within the program. Thrash is one of four incoming transfers wide receivers who have the potential to make an immediate impact, but he is the choice to be the most important addition. Coming off his best collegiate season, when he finished with 61 receptions for 1,122 yards and seven touchdowns, his skillset and experience should thrive while the new offense becomes more comfortable.

TE Kyle Morlock – Florida State (D2 Shorter)
The skinny: While Morlock piled up the offers after entering the portal, once he committed to Florida State, more attention has gone to the other tight end who the Seminoles added, Jaheim Bell. Both will see a substantial amount of playing time, but with Bell being the more versatile of the two, look for Morlock to take over many of the traditional tight end roles. At 6-foot-7, 250-pounds, he will be depended on to be an adequate blocker, while also being a large-bodied receiving threat after totaling 57 receptions for 890 yards and 11 touchdowns in his last 24 games at the Division II level.

WR Devontez Walker – North Carolina (Kent State)
The skinny: The Tar Heels are returning one of the top quarterbacks in the country, Drake Maye, but lost his top target, Josh Downs, to the NFL. By adding Walker, who finished last season with 58 receptions for 921 yards and 11 touchdowns, they quite possibly found his top target in 2023. There is some young receiving talent returning to Chapel Hill, but it is mostly unproven, so adding Walker should also help with the transition to the future at the position
