[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”4031″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Things are starting to heat up! The transfer portal is starting to get busy as spring football is coming to close. Some big names are beginning to find new schools. Depth charts become easier to gauge. Listed below are some of those big name players and some moves that have been made.

CB Sevyn Banks to LSU

Banks was supposed to be the next great CB from Ohio State. But yeah, that didn’t work out. But with Brian Kelly now at LSU and the corner position needs some depth. This is a great fit because he need to rehab his NFL image. LSU continues to add potential at the defensive back position as Banks joins Jarrick Bernard, Greg Brooks Jr, Joe Foucha, and Mekhi Williams-Gardner.

 RB Corey Kiner to Cincinnati

Kiner returns home to Ohio and should have a great chance to compete right away for Luke Fickell. Kiner showed flashes last season at LSU but will not have to share the backfield as much with Jerome Ford gone from the Bearcats.

OT Amarius Mims back to Georgia

This was a big deal even though he didn’t go anywhere. He visited Florida State was supposed to visit Miami and had numerous teams interested. This is a muscle flex for Kirby Smart as he can’t promise Mims starting time but he’s willing to wait his turn anyhow.

DL Jacolbe Cowan to the transfer portal

The Ohio State defensive lineman has a ton of upside and you know teams near his home in North Carolina will be interested. A lot will depend on roster and depth chart space but he has Power Five ability.

OL/DL Jonah Miller to the transfer portal

He’s an intriguing player because he can play offensive or defensive tackle somewhere. He practiced at DL at Oregon and hails from Arizona and I think his future is at OT and possibly back home with the Wildcats.

DT Terry Hampton to the transfer portal

Interior defensive linemen are important to schools and don’t last long in the portal. He’s already been contacted by schools like Missouri, Oregon State, Memphis, Houston, and others.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
