While the full winter portal window officially doesn’t open for another few weeks, it has become the norm for Ivy League players to enter throughout the fall as grad transfers. A few big names have already entered, and here are three to keep an eye on:

OG John Iannuzzi, Columbia (6-foot-4, 315-pounds)

Iannuzzi is a new name to make it official, having just entered on Monday night. He started all 10 games last season at left guard and has done the same through the first nine games in 2024. The Massachusetts native has established himself as one of the top offensive linemen in the Ivy League. This is also supported by PFF, which has him currently ranked as the #31 offensive guard in the country out of 654 FBS players at his position in the country.

WR Bryson Canty, Columbia (6-foot-2, 205-pounds)

Canty, who played his high school football in North Carolina, first gained notice during the 2022 season when he finished with 53 receptions for 733 yards and six touchdowns. Unfortunately, his 2023 season was cut down to only three games due to an injury, but he has returned in 2024 better than ever. Now with 41 receptions for 720 yards and nine touchdowns through eight games, he has become a dynamic big play threat with his 17.6 yards per reception average. Also of note, PFF ranks Canty as the #14 wide receiver in the country, which is quite impressive considering there are 1,023 FBS receivers ranked in the country.

S Trey Harris, Cornell (6-foot-4, 202-pounds)

Harris, who is from Georgia but played his high school football in Pennsylvania, has become a mainstay in the Big Red secondary over the last three seasons. Having totaled 123 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and 13 passes defended during his 29 games with Cornell, he is an imposing presence in the secondary with his 6-foot-4, 202-pound build. Listed as the #339 safety out of 900 qualified players by PFF, his experience, size and athleticism will make him a target in the portal.
