1. Deion Smith – LSU

Portal entry date: 12-8-2021

Grad-transfer: No

Career at LSU: During his true freshman season in Baton Rouge, Smith totaled 11 receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

Current situation: Unlike the other players on this list, Smith has been in the portal for months. There were rumors that he might return to LSU since he stayed on campus into the spring, but he did not participate in the team’s practices. So where will he likely end up? The rumors for a couple of months now is that he will return to his home state of Mississippi and play for the Rebels. And that remains his likely destination, while other schools like Penn State, South Carolina, Arizona State, Oregon and Houston continue to try to change that outcome.

2. Koy Moore – LSU

Portal entry date: 10-19-2021

Grad-transfer: No

Career at LSU: Moore totaled 27 receptions for 248 yards during his two seasons in Baton Rouge. He also returned six punts. He entered the portal during the 2021 season, after playing in the first six games.

Current situation: The initial list of suitors was long, with Auburn, Oregon, Nebraska, UCF, Oklahoma, Florida State, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Purdue, Indiana and Tennessee all making a push. However, as time went on rumors began to surface that Moore would return to LSU. Those were quickly squashed when he was not on the spring roster. Auburn was again linked with Moore and a possible official visit in March, but that never materialized. Since then it has been rather silent, but a few schools like Arizona State, Colorado, Washington and Colorado State have begun to stand out.

3. Demond Demas – Texas A&M

Portal entry date: 3-29-2022

Grad-transfer: No

Career at Texas A&M: After redshirting as a true freshman, Demas finished the 2021 season in College Station with 15 receptions for 235 yards and one touchdown. He was not with the team during spring practice this year after getting arrested on a family violence assault charge that occurred in February.

Current situation: Demas would be higher on this list if not for his current legal issues. Most schools seem to be taking a wait-and-see approach before recruiting Demas more actively, but this point some of the schools that have reached out include Tennessee, Utah, Arizona, Utah State, Troy, Appalachian State, Eastern Michigan, Jackson State and Alabama A&M.

4. Tarique Milton – Iowa State

Portal entry date: 11-29-2021

Grad-transfer: Yes

Career at Iowa State: Milton totaled 99 receptions for 1,519 yards and seven touchdowns during his career in Ames.

Current situation: Milton has been in the portal for more than six months and continues to receive interest from several programs. Some of the schools to currently keep an eye on include Arkansas, Louisville, Houston, West Virginia and UCF.

5. Tyler Page – SMU

Portal entry date: 5-2-2022

Grad-transfer: Yes

Career at SMU: Page totaled 65 receptions for 862 yards and four touchdowns during his time with the Mustangs. His best season came in 2020 when he had 39 receptions for 422 yards and two touchdowns.

Current situation: Interest and offers have continued to roll in for Page, with Colorado, Appalachian State, Toledo, Middle Tennessee, UTSA, Arizona State and Liberty currently leading the way.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
