[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Cody Jackson came from Foster high school in Richmond Texas as a 4-star WR. He committed to the University of Oklahoma out of high school in the 2021 class. He came to Norman with high expectations, that unfortunately were put on hold due to a medical situation as a freshman. With the new staff turnover, and the offensive philosophy changing Cody decided it would be better for himself to enter the portal and find a new place to play. He chose to go back home to the state of Texas and chose the Houston Cougars.

Jackson showed plenty of promise in limited action for Oklahoma. Like this key 3rd and long reception against Nebraska:

Cougars head coach Dana Holgerson runs a similar system to Lincoln Riley, so Jackson should be able to hit the ground running quickly. QB Clayton Tune had a strong year and is back next season. Houston went undefeated in AAC play last season and with the Bearcats losing so many this addition may be the one that puts Houston in pole position for the league. Mike himself listed Cody Jackson as the second-best WR left in the portal behind only Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison.

Cody Jackson should be a big impact player for Houston right away, and be their go-to guy. He is talented and plays like this were why he was so highly sought-after out of high school.
