Justice Haynes, a four-star RB from Buford, Georgia recently took time to chat with Michael Krabbe of Mike Farrell Sports. In the interview Haynes spoke on his recruiting process, detailing his interactions with coaches and his visits to some of the programs he is considering.

Currently, the 247 Sports Composite ranks him as a high four-star and the 53rd overall player in the class of 2023. In the Composite rankings, he is considered to be the third overall player in the state of Georgia and the 4th best RB in the nation. He also plays baseball where he is a pitcher. 247 Sports lists a total of 36 scholarship offers for Haynes. Needless to say, many programs are vying for Justice Haynes’s services.

2023 Four-star RB Justice Haynes breaks down his recruitment

Justice Haynes is ready to hit the next level in stride. The Southern (GA) running back Haynes, son of former NFL running back Verron Haynes, has been a top player in his class since the end of his freshman season.  The 4th ranked RB in the class of 2023, Haynes broke down his recruitment as summer programs begin.

The 4-Star RB has received offers from all over the country, but as early signing day grows closer, a few schools are beginning to rise above the rest. One of the schools near the top of Haynes’ list is Georgia. “Georgia was awesome, you can tell Coach Smart has built a really awesome culture there.” As a Georgia resident, it’s easy to envision Haynes suiting up for the Bulldogs, with his father being a notable UGA alum.

However, Haynes says his recruitment is extremely open at the moment, stating he is considering all his top schools equally.  His official visit to Florida left an impression, noting Coach Napier “really cares about his players,” which he mentions is one of the most important aspects of his recruitment. “I want to play for coaches that develop me on and off the field.” He recently took an official visit to Alabama, another school near the top of his list.

After his visit, Haynes said it’s easy to see why they are so successful. “You can tell why Alabama is Alabama, the attention to detail is crazy.” Haynes’s last trip will be an official visit to Ohio State this weekend. “Ohio State’s always been near the top for me. I have a great relationship with Coach Alford and Coach Day.”

The decision for Haynes will be a tough one. With 4 of the nation’s largest programs vying for his commitment, Justice will have a lot to think about before making his decision. Haynes specified that comfort, as well as academics, will be a large factor in his decision. “I want a place that feels like home, but academics are also a really huge part for me.” He plans on making his decision in July or August.
