Prospects in the  News

Aaron Flowers, Safety, Forney, TX (Forney HS), #133 Nationally, #10 Safety, #24 in Texas

Aaron Flowers’s recruitment came to an end on Friday afternoon after he decided to commit to the Oregon Ducks. Long ago, many believed that Flowers would end up going to Oklahoma. Then it was USC, now it’s Oregon. This has been a recruitment with many twists and turns, however, the Ducks and Dan Lanning ultimately end up on top.

The versatile four-star prospect will prove to be a great piece in Oregon’s secondary. This is a massive pickup for the Ducks to lay the groundwork for their 2024 class.

Andrew Sprague, OL, Kansas City, MO (Rockhurst HS), #160 Nationally, #9 OT, #4 in Missouri

On Friday morning, four-star offensive line prospect Andrew Sprague announced his commitment to Michigan. The 6-8, 290-pound behemoth silently committed to Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines last week after Michigan’s spring game.

The 6’8 275 OT from Kansas City, MO chose the Wolverines over Notre Dame, Mizzou, Nebraska, and others.

He joins Michigan’s Top 5 Class in the ‘24 Team Rankings

“The weekend at Michigan was amazing,” Sprague said. “The atmosphere is always amazing and the coaches treat you like family. What stands out is the o-line being back to back Joe Moore Award winners and how they run the ball.” – Andrew Sprague on Michigan

Sprague is the 11th commit in Michigan’s 2024 class, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop now. Michigan is one of the hottest teams on the recruiting trail right now, and as we all know, momentum is huge in recruiting. We’ll see if they can keep this up.

Quinton Martin, ATH, Belle Vernon, PA (Belle Vernon HS), #30 Nationally, #3 ATH, #1 in Pennsylvania

Seemingly out of nowhere, four-star athlete Quinton Martin announced his commitment to Penn State. Penn State recruited him as a running back, but 247 Sport’s Brian Dohn believes that he also has the ability to play as a linebacker or safety. You can read the rest of his scouting report here.

BREAKING: Elite 2024 ATH Quinton Martin tells me he has Committed to Penn State!

— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) April 7, 2023

Martin is the seventh player to commit to Penn State in the 2024 class, bringing them to number nine in the 247 Composite Rankings. When it’s all said and done, Martin could easily be a five-star prospect. This is a massive addition for Penn State, one that will give them plenty to look forward to in the future.

Judd Anderson, QB, Gray, GA (Jones County HS), #1013 Nationally, #61 QB, #87 in Georgia

Miami received a commitment from quarterback Judd Anderson on Friday. Anderson stands in at 6-6, 210-pounds, and also held offers from Ole Miss, Pitt, and Georgia Tech. He has an elite frame, as well as some good intangibles. Still, he needs to improve some more if he wants to be an elite quarterback.

— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) April 7, 2023

He posted a stat line of 1,776 yards and 15 touchdowns with 13 interceptions last season. Not great, but with his frame and arm strength, he could still prove to be a very talented quarterback at the next level in due time.

Kason Stokes, WR, Seffner, FL, (Armwood HS), #530 Nationally, #74 WR, #75 in Florida

Florida native Kason Stokes decided to pledge his talents to UCF on Friday. The three-star wideout is the fourth commit in UCF’s 2024 class. He stands in at 6-2, 180-pounds, and has blazing speed, posting a 100-meter dash time of 10.87.

First thank you god for this opportunity therefore UCF nation I’m staying home!⚔️ @Hayesfawcett3 @CoachGusMalzahn @heard88 @UCF_Recruiting @UCF_Football @TeamTampa813 @Coach_EDavis @rickyreddd023 @Rivals @247Sports @On3Recruits #committed pic.twitter.com/vTtL22PcOP

— Kason “k” Stokes (@kason_stokes) April 7, 2023

This is an excellent pickup for UCF in my eyes, one that has a really high ceiling if he can develop properly at the next level. The Knights gain a big piece in their wide receiver corps to help them transition into a P5 conference.
