Best Overall: Javin Simpkins
Running Back, Norland High School (Miami, FL)
Marginal height and solid weight for an RB at the next level. Very good open-field agility and footwork, runs with a low center of gravity and is hard to bring down at the second level or out on the perimeter. Displays good acceleration and vision as a runner. Has plenty of experience running read options, jet sweeps and catching out of the backfield. Solid contact balance, always keeps his feet running after first contact and has the ability to bend out of and break tackles from DBs at the second level. Adequate ball security and his size will limit his workload at the next level early on. I believe he can fix the ball security issues and will benefit in Coastal’s run heavy read option/triple option schemes they execute very well. Can be a good weapon in this offense in two-running back sets by his second year after adding muscle and gaining experience in this offense.

Most Underrated: Farradj Titikpina
Defensive Tackle, Dusseldorf Panther (Germany)
International prospect with good height and weight. Displays good hand strength to shed and is a high pursuit player against both the pass and the run. Mainly played as a 4-3 DE overseas but I project him to be playing as a 3Tech DT at the college level. Solid acceleration and upfield burst off the ball, with definite room for improvement. Has the basic pass rush moves down to quickly shed blockers now but I believe he can develop quicker and more violent hands with the correct coaching. As of now, he shows adequate tackling and will need to correct his pad level when attacking blockers at the LOS. With more experience under his belt, this player has the physical tools to develop into a top DT in college football by his second or third year.

Most Important Signing: Evan Jumper
Center, Furman University (Transfer)
An experienced Grad-transfer Center with a good overall frame. Jumper excels as a run-blocker showing good footwork and pad level on down-blocks. Shows solid athleticism to get up to the second level on combo blocks and even release to the perimeter on screen passes. Solid communicator at the LOS and will be an immediate asset for this run-heavy Coastal offense. Adequate anchor as a pass blocker, but in my opinion his experience and strengths in the run game outweigh his weaknesses as a pass blocker and will make him an easy plug-in play for this offensive line unit.

Name to Watch: Ethan Vasko
Quarterback, Kansas University (Transfer)
A talented transfer with good height and adequate weight. Very good deep ball accuracy combined with good ability to throw on the run and be that dual-threat option makes this a sneaky good fit in this offense after McCall finishes his final year. Vasko has experience playing in a pro-style offense against good competition and in big meaningful games at Oscar Smith High School in Virginia. He has to be respected in the read option/triple option run game stuff that Coastal loves doing but I think he can really start opening up the vertical passing game for this team in the future as well. As of now, his release and processing are adequate but those are coachable traits that I think can be fixed this year as he sits behind Grayson McCall. I expect Vasko to compete and win the starting job by his second season and become one of the best QBs in the conference.
