LSU has been a national powerhouse in College Football for the last few decades, posting only one losing season since 2000 (excluding vacated wins). This season the Tigers are looking for their fifth National Title – their first since the 2019 College Football Playoff led by Heisman-winning quarterback Joe Burrow. The 2025 LSU recruiting class, led by Bryce Underwood, looks to be the core of the next great LSU teams.

Bryce Underwood

Belleville, MI (Belleville)

#1 NAT, #1 QB, #1 MI

Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 ranked recruit in the nation, is looking to follow Joe Burrow, JT Daniels, and Garrett Nussmeier in the line of great LSU quarterbacks. Standing at 6’3”, 205 lbs., Underwood has the prototypical quarterback build. Over his sophomore and junior years, Underwood totaled 42 touchdowns with only three interceptions and 3,405 passing yards at a 67% completion rate. Underwood also added 117 yards and eight touchdowns on only 28 carries, showing his dual-threat capabilities.

Underwood is a decorated high school athlete, winning the MaxPreps Freshman of the Year, MaxPreps Sophomore of the Year, MaxPreps Michigan Player of the Year as a sophomore, and Gatorade Michigan Player of the Year as a junior. Additionally, he has led Belleville to three straight Michigan Division I Championships.

Holding over 40 offers, Bryce Underwood had his choice of schools but selected the Tigers over schools like Alabama, Ohio State, and Oregon.

Harlem Berry

Metairie, LA (St Martin’s Episcopal School)

#47 NAT, #2 RB, #1 LA

Standing at 5’11”, 175 lbs., Harlem Berry has a great running back build. During his sophomore and junior campaigns, Berry posted just under 2,000 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns while adding 155 yards and two touchdowns receiving. Berry also added 30 touchdowns and over 2,000 rushing yards as a freshman.

Harlem Berry is also a decorated track athlete, winning the Louisiana 1A state championship in the 100-meter twice and the 200-meter once as a freshman.

TaRon Francis

New Orleans, LA (Edna Karr)

#191 NAT, #19 WR, #7 LA

Measuring 6’2”, 200 lbs., TaRon Francis is the perfect big wide receiver for Bryce Underwood. Despite his large build, Francis is quick and agile while still being strong enough to run through defenders. Francis uses his frame to rise above defenders when needed, but is also a great route runner and uses this to create space.

Francis is also a stellar track athlete, where he has finished Top 5 in the 4×200 relay and third in the 4×100 relay.

Holding 10 offers, Francis chose LSU over schools like Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Michigan.
