When it comes to wide receivers, it is very difficult to out recruit Ohio State. TCU found this out on Tuesday when four-star Brock Boyd, who had been committed to the Horned Frogs since last summer, flipped to the Buckeyes.
After many conversations and prayers, I would like to announce that i’m committing to Ohio State. Thank you TCU for all that you’ve provided for me. I enjoyed building relationships with the entire staff. let’s get it!! @ryandaytime @brianhartline @CoachJordan82 @coachrdodge… pic.twitter.com/CcjpDMBpKS

Boyd plays his high school football at Southlake Carroll in Texas, had become a priority for Ohio State since they offered in late January. An unofficial visit to Columbus in March helped seal the deal, even though Boyd waited almost a month to make his flip public.
Boyd already had a long list of offers at the time of his commitment to TCU, but he has seen that list continue to grow in recent months. Aside from his offer from the Buckeyes, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Washington and Kansas State are some of the schools that joined the chase in 2025.
At 6-foot-1 and 165-pounds, Boyd had an amazing junior season, with 111 receptions for 1,875 yards and 19 touchdowns. He joins another loaded wide receiver class at Ohio State, to go along with Chris Henry Jr. and Jaeden Ricketts.
