Names in the News

–4-star 2024 WR Debron Gatling, Milton High School, Alpharetta, Georgia (#280 nationally, (#40 WR, and #38 GA.)

Debron Gatling committed to the Texas A&M Aggies on Sunday night. He chose the Aggies over the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Oklahoma Sooners, and Tennessee Volunteers. Gatlin cited the opportunity to play early on as a freshman and the relationship with the Aggies coaching staff as to why he chose Texas A&M. He becomes the third recruit in the Aggies 2024 class that is ranked No. 14 right now.

Jonathan Slack decommitted from the Michigan State Spartans on Sunday night. Since February, he had been committed to the Spartans before backing off his pledge. –3-star LB Taurean York, Temple High School, Temple, Texas, (#910 nationally, #73 LB, and #169 TX/)

Taurean York decommitted from the Baylor Bears on Sunday night. York had been committed to the bears since February before backing off his pledge. However, the Duke Blue Devils now look like the leaders to land him, as they have pursued him even though he was committed to the Bears. The 247 Sports Crystal Ball has them as the favorites to land him. I like Duke here as well and think that could happen soon.

Thank you to Coach Aranda and the Baylor staff for giving me an opportunity to play at the next level. This recruiting process has been nothing short of a blessing. After much consideration and conversation, I’ve decided to reopen my recruitment.
God Bless.
Taurean A. York
