Some members of the 2024 recruiting class have already made an impact through just two weeks. In this article, we will look at four true freshman who balled out in their week two game.

1. DJ Lagway

QB, Florida

Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway (2) throws the ball during the second half at the Orange and Blue spring football game at Steve Spurrier Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, FL on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Lagway started over the injured Graham Mertz in Florida’s domination over Samford. The former 5-star tossed three touchdown passes and over 400 yards in the win. Lagway broke the Florida Gators’ record for Freshman passing yards. With Mertz set to return this week, Coach Napier stated both QBs would be used in the future. With this new system, we can expect Lagway on this list more often.

2. Dylan Raiola

QB, Nebraska

Aug 31, 2024; Lincoln, Nebraska, USA; Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola (15) rolls out to pass against the UTEP Miners during the third quarter at Memorial Stadium.

Nebraska dominated Colorado at home led by Dylan Raiola. The freshman tossed 185 yards and 1 touchdown in a win. Despite the lackluster stat line, Raiola led his team in one of their toughest and high-pressure games this season and came out on top.

3. Nick Marsh

WR, Michigan State

The 4-star WR makes his first appearance on this list after exploding against Maryland. Marsh ranked as the 22nd best WR in the nation according to 247 Sports. He also ranked 107th nationally in the 2024 class. The star freshman hauled in eight catches for 194 yards and one touchdown in a win. If he continues to perform, we can expect Marsh as a regular on this list.

EDGE, Texas
