Names in the News

–3-star DL Micah Carter, St. Xavier High School, Louisville, Kentucky.

Micah Carter is the No. 500 national prospect, the No. 57 defensive lineman, and the No. 2 player in Kentucky. On Saturday, he flipped his commitment from the Purdue Boilermakers to the Louisville Cardinals. Carter had been committed to Purdue since June before flipping and becoming the first commit for Jeff Brohm at Louisville. The Cardinals now have the No. 29 recruiting class overall and fifth in the ACC.

The Purdue Boilermakers have been nothing short of amazing and I'm
thankful for the love I've been shown. With that being said, I have decided to decommit from the University of Purdue and join @JeffBrohm at the University
of Louisville.#stayinghome L1C4 @AbleEdits pic.twitter.com/HRT2zm0OlI

–4-star RB Dylan Edwards, Derby High School, Derby, Kansas.

Dylan Edwards committed to the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday, two days after decommitting from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Edwards is the No. 192 national prospect, the No. 10 running back, and the No. 2 player in Kansas. Once he backed off his pledge to Notre Dame, the Buffaloes and coach Deion Sanders became the team to beat for Edwards, as he has a great relationship with Coach Prime, going back to his grade school days. Edwards said,

“I’ve known coach Prime since I was 4 years old. He was actually my coach with my dad when I was younger. We are like family. I’m coming to make big plays and to be the best all-purpose player in the country.”

Edwards is an excellent addition to Coach Prime’s first Buffaloes recruiting class and first blue-chip recruit.

–4- star 2024 FS Xavier Filsaime, McKinney High School, McKinney, Texas.

Xavier Filsaime is the No. 69 national prospect and the No. 9 player in Texas in the 2024 class, and he has named his top 11 schools. Those schools are the Arkansas Razorbacks, Baylor Bears, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners, Oregon Ducks, SMU Mustangs, TCU Horned Frogs, Tennessee Volunteers, and USC Trojans. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Mustangs at 31.9% and Sooners at 27.9% as the top two schools.

–3- star CB RJ Lester, Northside High School, Fort Smith, Arkansas.

RJ Lester is the No. 1135 national prospect, the No. 95 safety, and the No. 6 player in Arkansas, and he committed to the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday. He had been committed to the Kansas State Wildcats since July 28 before backing off his pledge. Lester joins a Cowboys class ranked No. 63 overall and ninth in the Big 12. Despite being projected as a safety, the Cowboys recruited him as a cornerback.

–3-star RB Durell Robinson, St. Frances Academy, Baltimore, Maryland.

Durell Robinson is the No. 694 national prospect, the No. 50 running back, and the No. 12 player in Maryland, and he decommitted from the Boston College Eagles on Saturday. He had been committed to the Eagles since September 14, choosing them over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Virginia Tech Hokies before backing off his pledge. I would keep an eye on the Hokies here.

–3- star DL Andrew Rumph, Palmetto High School, Palmetto, Florida.

Andrew Rumph is the No. 815 national prospect, the No. 87 defensive lineman, and the No. 120 player in Florida. He will decide on December 21, with his top four schools being the Indiana Hoosiers, Maryland Terrapins, Miami Hurricanes, and UCF Knights. Rumph will be in Orlando next weekend for an official visit with the Knights. They are the favorites to land him, according to the On3 RPM, and I agree and believe that he will choose them.
