Fact or Fiction – Recruiting Edition: Dylan Williams, Malachi Coleman, Kayden McDonald

In Mike Farrell’s Fact or Fiction – Recruiting Edition, he looks at whether Dylan Williams will end up at USC…

In today’s Fact or Fiction— Recruiting Edition — I look at three big recent topics in football recruiting and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.

1. 2024 LB Dylan Williams will end up at USC in the end.

Farrell’s take: FACT

Williams, one of the best in the 2024 class at his position, is a Poly kid so the commitment to USC early was not a surprise. His recent decommitment was a bit of a stunner. Like most Southern Cal kids he wants to see SEC schools and experience the process so this will drag out for awhile but Lincoln Riley and his staff are making elite locals a massive priority and I can’t see them letting him away. In the end he will be back in the fold.

2. Malachi Coleman will pick Nebraska.

Farrell’s take: FACT

This is an odd situation as Coleman is expected to decide this weekend and the only clear leader has always been Nebraska. But they have no coach and a lot of questions. Will Mickey Joseph get the job? Unlikely. Will he be retained by the new head coach? Who knows? But even with the uncertainly I think the elite 6-5, 210 pound athlete stays in state and picks the Huskers.

Malachi Coleman is a GROWN MAN.

3. DT Kayden McDonald will land at Florida.

Farrell’s take: FICTION

The Georgia native and 2023 stud has been a Clemson lean for a long time with Michigan, Ohio State and others in the mix but Florida has always been on his mind as well. He commits Oct. 31 and the Gators have made a strong push but it would be a surprise to me if he landed anywhere but Clemson.
