In today’s Fact or Fiction— Recruiting Edition — I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. UGA flexed muscles with Roderick Robinson flip.
Farrell’s take: FACT
The 4-star RB was committed to UCLA for a while and hails from San Diego. But a trip to Georgia this past weekend changed everything for Robinson and it’s an example of how amazing UGA recruiting can be. Think about it. UCLA is undefeated and on a roll, Zach Charbonnet is putting up monster numbers as the feature back and they still lose Robinson. UGA is using a running back by committee approach this season with Daijun Edwards, Kendall Milton, Kenneth McIntosh, and now freshman Branson Robinson all contributing while Charbonnet being the workhorse on his way to the NFL schools perhaps be more attractive. Nope. Georgia is in a recruiting zone and those worried when they lost out on Justice Haynes and Richard Young need not worry.

2. 2024 QB Jadyn Davis is still a lock for Michigan.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
For the longest time, it looked like the elite QB from North Carolina would end up at Michigan and that could still be the case. But a recent visit to UNC and a visit to Tennessee this weekend could change things up. Why? The play of UNC QB Drake Maye has impressed Davis and his camp quite a bit. They are the home state school after all, but the Vols offense has him very intrigued as well. I think the Wolverines lead as he took another great visit in September but I also thought he’d have committed by now so this is getting interesting.

3. UGA has the edge now for Damon Wilson.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
The elite 2023 EDGE rusher had a great visit to Georgia by all accounts and the Dawgs are in this mix with Alabama, Ohio State, and in-state Miami, but I have him as an Alabama lean right now. Something the Buckeyes are the team to beat for Wilson and fellow Florida EDGE Keon Keeley who have talked about playing together but to me, I hear more about Alabama for both.
