In today’s Fact or Fiction— Recruiting Edition — I look at three big recent topics on the recruiting trail and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. Keon Keeley and Damon Wilson will end up at the same school.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
For a little bit, I thought these two elite DEs would play together in college. But now I think Wilson heads from Florida to Ohio State, and I’ve always felt Keeley would land at Alabama after that amazing visit he had this summer that led to his decommitment from Notre Dame. Keeley could still pick the Buckeyes as he loves Larry Johnson and Georgia and Alabama are still working on Wilson but it looks unlikely they will be together.

2. The best defensive line class in the country belongs to Clemson.
Farrell’s take: FACT
It’s Clemson so far. That can change quickly with some commitments down the stretch and likely will but this Clemson group is elite. Peter Woods and Victor Burley lead an elite DE group that is four deep and DT Steph Green could be underrated as he has a lot of room to fill out and has great speed. It seems that Clemson brings in a new wave of superstars along the defensive line every few years and this is the next one.

3. The Ryan Puglisi commit affects Julian Sayin.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
Puglisi is a 4-star kid (in my book so far) committed to UGA for the 2024 class. He has good size and a live arm and plays up the road from me. But when he committed many UGA fans were worried this would impact their efforts with 5 star QBs especially Julian Sayin from California. My message to them? Don’t worry yet. The plan has been to take a couple of QBs in the 2024 class with 2023 being a pass after missing on Arch Manning and others and that has been communicated to everyone. And based on my sources, Sayin is still a lean to UGA although he does like LSU, Alabama and some others as well. That lean isn’t quite as strong as it used to be but the commitment of Puglisi doesn’t impact Sayin at all.
