High school ball is back in full fledge mode, and there were lots of
outstanding performances to take note of. In this new series, I will do
a recap of the best performances from each week around the state of
Tennessee. Let’s get started!
1. QB Drake Fisher (Senior)
Sullivan East HS, Bluff City, TN
Stats (Week Two) 40-60, 533 yds, 4 tds
The Senior out of West Tennessee had himself a career game
in week two. While they took a tough loss to the Tennessee Vikings,
he sure let it be known it wasn’t because of him. He threw for
almost 600 yards at a 67% clip. Right now he sits atop of the state in
yards while being ranked seventh nationally.
2. WR Jayden “Bear” Eldridge (Senior)
Stone Memorial HS, Crossville, TN
Stats (Week One) 9 rec, 209 yds, 4 tds
Starting the season off against Cookeville, Jayden was simply
too much to handle. He averaged 23.2 yds per catch in a hard-fought
win. At the moment he sits at number two in the state for receiving
yards, while being the leader in touchdowns with six.
3. DE Andy Griffith (Junior)
Mount Juliet Christian Academy, Mount Juliet, TN
Stats (Week One) 14 tackles (9 solo), 6 tfl, 5 sacks
Andy Griffith has been an absolute menace to begin the
season and it began in week one. He ended up with five sacks while
also adding three more the next week. He sits atop the state in that
category while being second in the nation as well.
4. RB Tyson Wolcott (Senior)
Friendship Christian HS, Lebanon, TN
Stats (Week Two) 31 car, 305 yds, 4 tds
The state’s leading rusher through the first couple of weeks
had his best game yet in week two. The standout Senior ran all over
Donelson Christian Academy in a blowout win. I don’t see him
slowing down anytime soon.

5. OLB Charlie Goss (Sophomore)
First Assembly Christian HS, Cordova, TN
Stats (Week One) 3 tackles, 3 ints, 1 FF, 1 Recovery
The sophomore had himself a breakout game to kick off the
season. En route to defeating King Prep 70-0, he filled up the stat
sheet in every which way. Expect to hear a lot from him this season.
