High school ball is back in full fledge mode, and there were lots of
outstanding performances to take note of. In this new series I will do
a recap of the best performances from each week around the state of
Tennessee. Let’s take a look at weeks seven and eight.

1. QB Braden Graham (Senior)

Riverdale HS, Murfreesboro, TN

Stats (Week Seven) 17-23 (74%), 340 Yds, 6 Tds

The star from middle Tennessee has been on a tear of late,
and that didn’t change one bit in his last outing. Against Cane Ridge, he put up almost 350 yards along with six scores through the air. In
his last three games, Graham has thrown for 15 touchdowns with zero
picks. He now sits seventh in the state in passing yards with 1,796.

Riverdale’s quarterback Braden Graham (12) passes the ball to Riverdale’s Jaylen Thompson.

2. RB Ben Franklin (Senior)

Cornersville HS, Cornerville, TN

Stats (Week Seven) 24 Car, 356 Yds, 7 Tds, 2 Sacks

The big bruiser had himself a magical night during week
seven. Against Cannon County, he only had a measly seven carries,
but every single one of them went for a touchdown with the longest
being a 61-yarder. He went well over the 300-yard mark on a silly
average of nearly 15 yards per carry. Numbers vary, but per MaxPreps, the Navy commit also sits seventh in the
state but in rushing yards with 1,283.

3. QB Tripp Pinion (Junior)

White County HS, Sparta, TN

Stats (Week Eight) 11-14 (79%), 197 Yds, 2 Tds/ 13 Car, 109 Yds, 1 Td

While he is undersized for the QB position, he is simply
one of the best dual-threat signal callers in the state. This past week
against Christian Academy of Knoxville in a blowout win, he was
pinpoint in his passing almost completing 80% along with two
scores, while adding another 100 plus on the ground and another
touchdown. He sits at second in the state with 1,703 rushing yards.
The scary part is defenses have to deal with him another year as he
is only a junior.

4. WR Arnett Hayes (Junior)

Battle Ground Academy, Franklin, TN

Stats (Week Seven) 9 Rec, 246 Yds, 3 Tds

While they did suffer a heartbreaking one-point loss to
Pope John Paul II, Mr. Hayes certainly made his presence known.
He ended with almost 10 catches and 250 yards on the night along
with a few scores. He now sits at second in the state in receiving
yards with 843. The two-way star also has three picks on the season.

5. DE Kenderrius Robertson (Junior)

Mitchell HS, Memphis, TN

Stats (Week Seven) 8 Tckls, 5 Tfl, 5 Sacks

The nation’s leader in sacks was back at it again. In a win
against Middle College, he racked up another five sacks. He now sits
at a whopping 24 with two weeks left in the regular season. He is a
rising star and I suggest folks start taking notice immediately.

Mitchell’s Kenderrius Robertson waits for the next defensive drill during football practice.
