Alabama high school football is no sleeper when it comes to producing talent, as they have sent multiple players to play at the college level and to the NFL. With lots of talent comes many under-the-radar prospects, such as Lee Scott Academy wide receiver Jake White. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound athlete put up strong numbers this past season, finishing with 48 receptions, 1312 yards, and 12 touchdowns, along with a state title. With his senior season coming up, he will begin a new chapter as he plans to transfer to Auburn High School, which is notably known for producing guys like Cody Core, DeMarcus Ware, Marcus Washington, and many others.

Strengths
The star receiver possesses many traits that coaches look for in the position. His most notable ability is his speed and ability to create plays in space.
“My greatest strength in the game is finding the open space on routes. My routes are clean. Making sure Im running the proper position and the right yardage. My explosiveness once I catch the ball and being able to find space and make a play.”
With his athleticism, he is able to play the “Swiss army knife” role-playing receiver and a return specialist where he flourished this past season with his speed and vision.
Improvements
With his strengths, he does look to continue to perfect his craft. He goes into detail with Mike Farrell Sports on what he is looking to improve heading into the offseason:
“I’d say something I can improve on this year is like being able to work outside and inside. Another thing would be speed, of course, like just getting faster and stronger because that is important to me. Also, another thing is making sure my routes stay clean and making new cut improvements.”

Visits
His recruitment has been fairly busy for him this season going on multiple visits to many different programs. He breaks it down with Mike Farrell Sports on what visits he has taken so far:
“At the beginning of the season, I went to Ole Miss, Auburn, Kentucky, Duke, Florida State, and Samford, but this year, I’m kind of looking forward to visiting more schools. For example, Dartmouth reached out this past week and have been in contact with them for a little bit.“
He does plan to take more visits as the dead period comes to an end. He is hopeful to pick up his first offer soon whether it be from his hometown, the Auburn Tigers, or from another program.
Goals
With next season being his final season as a high school athlete, he does have some goals that he looks to accomplish before moving on.
“Some of my goals are since I’m moving to 7A, I would say first-team all-state, first-team all-area, those kinds of things. I want to set the reception record at my high school, and I would love to be committed by the end of next season.”
With the dead period being lifted, the Auburn High wide receiver will be a name to watch for as he begins to pick up traction on the recruiting trail and looks to end his high school career on a high note.
